At the same time, this gives the pilot's chronograph a modern look without detracting from the functional character of the watch.
Another special feature is the high-quality cover glass. The highly curved sapphire crystal glass used here is similar in profile to traditional acrylic glass. This sapphire crystal glass is cut out of an approximately 5 mm thick, solid blank with five different radii of curvature and polished to a high standard. The grinding tools required for production were specially manufactured for this purpose. The result of this elaborate process not only preserves the classic appearance, but also makes the glass highly resistant.
