Explorer II Special Reconnaissance Regiment Stainless Steel 16570 This is a pre-owned Rolex Explorer II special reconnaissance regiment men's 16570 watch. 40.00mm case size in stainless steel, black baton dial on a stainless steel oyster bracelet, powered by an automatic movement. This Rolex is in excellent condition complete with rolex box & guarantee dated 01-10-2007. We are delighted to offer this extremely special limited-edition military Rolex Reconnaissance Regiment EXPLORER II that is practically new old stock N.O.S condition. It is believed only 139 of these Rolex S.R.R pieces were produced and all of them were sold to serving officers of the regiment through Rolex London. We believe the example that we have on offer, to be the only S.R.R Explorer II currently for sale on the open market. SRR Reconnaissance Regiment History And Explorer II Details This military Explorer is accompanied with its Rolex Certificate/letter dated September 2007 stating this example is number 43 of the 139 Limited-Edition run for the Special Reconnaissance Regiment. The Certificate/letter also states that the recipient of the watch was a serving officer in the regiment. The provenance is also backed up with the Rolex International guaranteed card confirming the watch was issued to the Special Reconnaissance Regiment. This rare military Rolex was purchased from the original owner, and we believe has never been worn. The case backs of these watches were engraved with the cap badge of the Special Reconnaissance Regiment and the individual issue number of the watch. A unit of the British Armed Forces, the Special Reconnaissance Regiment was created in 2005. Its roots derive from the 14 Intelligence Company, also known as "The Det".
