Rolex has been using a specially developed alloy called Everose gold for its rose gold watches since 2005. The Geneva-based manufacturer keeps its exact composition a closely guarded secret, but it is known that Everose Gold contains at least 75% gold, 20% copper, and small amounts of indium and palladium. The special mixture ratio makes Everose gold extremely durable and gives it a rich golden hue with (according to Rolex) a reddish tint reminiscent of dawn.

How many karats does a rose gold Rolex have?

Rolex uses 18-karat gold for its watches, which corresponds to a fineness of 750 (75% gold). The corresponding seal can usually be found on the underside of the lugs and on the clasp (if the bracelet is also made of gold).

You'll find the largest selection of rose gold Rolex watches in the classic dress watch collections Datejust, Lady Datejust, and Day-Date. The variety of dials ranges from classics like black, white, or silver to chocolate brown, purple, or green.
